TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Basis of Contract

1.1 These terms and conditions shall be the only terms and conditions on which The Bride’s Table will provide the goods and or services to the client.

1.2 These Terms are deemed to be accepted by the Client either upon signing at the bottom of each page or payment of a booking deposit.

1.3 Any written quote provided by The Bride’s Table to the client regarding the proposed hire of goods or services to be provided is valid for 7 days from issue date.

1.4 If an order placed by the client is accepted by The Bride’s Table, The Bride’s Table agrees to hire the goods and/or provide the services on the agreed event date or in the case of planning to be commenced on payment of a booking deposit.

1.5 Goods hired shall at all times remain the property of The Bride’s Table.

2. Hire Charges and Delivery

2.1 Unless otherwise specified, any delivery and pick up quotation assumes:

  • delivery, and pick up of goods being provided during hours of 7am to midnight.

  • any delivery and pick ups outside ordinary delivery hours will incur a higher rate;

  • A $300 Public Holiday surcharge applies to all bookings on public holiday dates.

  • Standard delivery is to street level, ground floor, level and clear passageway or via service elevator. If delivery is required to a higher level where no service elevator can be used due to size of hire items or any other reason, The Bride’s Table must be notified before deposit is paid as higher rate applies.

3. Invoicing, Payment and Bonds

3.1 Payment for hire of goods and services must be made by: (a) 30% Deposit of the total quoted fee on ordering within 7 days of quote/invoice issue date; and balance not less than 28 days prior to event date. (b) All deposits and payments are non refundable, non transferrable and cannot be exchanged for a credit note. (c) Delivery cannot be confirmed unless full payment has been received prior to event. (d) Items will not be held without a deposit. Hirer has 7 days within invoice issue date to secure items with 50% deposit. (e) If order placed less than 7 days from event date, then payment in full is required within 24 hours from invoice issue date.

3.2 Payment must be made by bank transfer, MasterCard or visa. Credit card payments will incur a surcharge.

3.3 The Bride’s Table requires a Security Bond for all hires. Subsequent charges for loss, damage, repairs, parking fines, extra time or other expenses will be deducted from the client’s security deposit. The security deposit will be by way of credit card pre-authorisation which will be requested prior to your event.

3.4 The client agrees to pay any expenses incurred or loss suffered by the Bride’s Table as a result of breach by the client of its obligations pursuant to these Terms (including legal and debt recovery costs).

3.4 Stock count and damages as declared by The Bride’s Table shall be final.

4. Variation and Cancellation

4.1 If through circumstances beyond the control of The Bride’s Table, we are unable to provide a particular item (due to unforeseen loss, breakage etc), then The Bride’s Table may: (a) make changes to the goods provided that the end performance is not materially prejudiced; or (b) cancel any order (even if it has already been accepted) by notice in writing and refund monies paid.

4.2 The client may cancel an order but will forfeit all booking deposits. Orders are not deemed secure until full payment has been made.

4.3 Any item removal or deductions from invoice made 90 days or more after deposit paid will incur 50% of the fee for removal of that item. Any item removal or deductions from order made 4 weeks or less from event date will incur the full fee for such items. Additions can be made at any time but are subject to availability.

4.4 The above cancellation conditions apply regardless of any and all reasons given by the client including but not limited to, deaths in the family, accidents, illness, breakdown of relationship, cancelled weddings, pandemics etc. However, in the case of a death in the immediate family of the client, The Bride’s Table, at its sole discretion, may from time to time, hold the deposit to be applied to a future event for the client or a change of date provided The Bride’s Table can perform the work on the new date.

4.5 Pandemics: Should the wedding need to be postponed due to unforeseen legislation around a pandemic, The Bride’s Table and the client will work together with the venue to agree on a mutually suitable date to transfer the wedding to. The Bride’s Table agrees that the goods and services will be provided as agreed on the new date. Where there is a reduction of stock due only to government mandated restrictions, the client will share the burden of such reduction equally with The Bride’s Table. No refunds will be given for pandemic related cancellations.

5. Damage to/Loss of Equipment

5.1 The client is responsible for any loss or damage to the equipment for any reason whatsoever except loss or damage which is caused by reasonable wear and tear.

5.2 It is agreed that upon the completion of the hire period, any replacement or repair cost of the equipment will be deducted from the pre-approved credit card security bond.

5.3 If there is a shortfall between the pre-approved security bond taken and any repair or replacement fee required, the client agrees to pay the shortfall forthwith.

6. Delivery and collection

6.1 Goods will be delivered clean and in good repair..

6.2 The Bride’s Table will count pieces on site before removal from the venue. Our count of goods and decision as to condition of goods prior to delivery and on collection shall be final.

7. Disclaimer

7.1 All goods must be used only for the purpose they are intended. Ie, tables are for sitting at and holding food, drinks and tableware and are not to be stood or danced on. In the event that the client uses the goods in a manner for which they are not intended, any third party property damage, personal injury or death arising out of such inappropriate use, will not be the responsibility of The Bride’s Table.

7.2 Any reckless activity performed by the client or any other third party involving items belonging to The Bride’s Table, which result in property damage, personal injury or death shall be the responsibility of the client and The Bride’s Table can not be held liable for any such property damage, personal injury or death.
